I stood barefoot on the scorching hot cement, spraying away ants with the hose. The sun-warmed pipe water washing over my feet instantly transported me. A grounding sensation I hadn't felt in decades.

Chopped coconuts with uncle and the 6-year-old. She loved it every time the coconut water splashed metres high as he hacked into the shell. Her laughter filled the air. Again, is this why people have kids? To resurface the little joys in life we've long forgotten?

She's my little shadow now. Following me everywhere. Wanting to "help" me with everything.
I remember my younger brother and cousins being like that when they were little.

Later in the evening, Mum nearly fainted while in the toilet. I had to clean her up and put her into adult diapers. I can understand Dad's fatigue. It's time to talk to Dad about getting a live-in helper.

I'm feeling LOADS better today because I decided not to set the alarm for this morning. Slept from 5am to 2pm. It was glorious, my friends.

Haven't been able to make time for Maker School the past two days. I'll catch up over the weekend.
