Now that we've got a proper domain, I set the app to `app.splittu.com`. But whatever groups you have on the temporary Appliku URL `splittu.applikuapp.com` are not transferred over automatically. So I made it easy for our early users to migrate to the new domain with one click. JY and SW came over and cooked the best lunch I've had in a long time. Kimchi soondubu, perilla tofu, fried fish roe... Ate ourselves into a food coma.
Making soondubu with 3 simple ingredients: pork, tofu, kimchi
Fried fish roe - one of my most fav things on earth.

Done today:
✓ Got important client work done in the morning. ✓ Fixed Splittu bugs. ✓ Shared the app with a few more online friends - got good feedback and more bug reports 🙂🙃
After lunch, my frands were giving me all sorts of video content ideas. I was amazed at how they can come up with all these. Got me thinking how some people possess that kind effortless creativity; because I clearly do not. I think the issue is that I don't consume enough brainrot video content? So I don't know what's out there, what style is trending, etc.
In any case, they've offered to help me make content for the app. So now I've got their + BL's talents on my side. Feeling very lucky! I green-lit all their ideas – except the one where they wanted me to wear a banana costume. 😑
Overall I'm really happy to be learning what it takes to launch a B2C app.
What does 10,000 hours of pure curiosity look like — and can it pay $10,000 a month?
That's the experiment.
I sold a 13-year restaurant business in 2019, taught myself to code, and have been chasing every "what if" since. Real hours, real dollars, updated daily.
I've been self-employed for 20 years. My goal is to keep it that way for the next 20.
