Not sure why I slept in so much this morning. I felt very tired, even though I didn't do all that much housework yesterday. So much for restarting my regime proper.
Now that I've been at my parents' home (which is in a different country from where I'm based) for three weeks, I've kinda sorta grokked their vampire* sleep/wake schedule. I've also been forcing gently encouraging them to wake earlier so I can prep supper (i.e. our supper, their breakfast) and clean up before I go to bed.
*My folks are nocturnal creatures and operate on a whole other timezone, don't ask me why. They sleep at the crack of dawn. Dad wakes at dusk, and Mum wakes close to midnight. Hence "vampire" 🧛🏻♀️🧛🏻♂️
Today I will settle Monday's due client work. Tomorrow we begin regular programming. By that, I mean the Benjamin Franklin-esque daily routine I'd normally keep if I was in my own home.
My man Ben's daily routine (ostensibly)
Tomorrow's time-blocked tasks.
I've already planned out tomorrow's time blocks, which is something I haven't done in awhile either.
I will also start updating this blog again, thanks to DR's constant nagging.
Got quite a bit of paid work done today. Plus smol update to side project. Happy.
The last time I filled out the left side of my notebook was 23 Sep. It has been a month of chaos.
What does 10,000 hours of pure curiosity look like — and can it pay $10,000 a month?
That's the experiment.
I sold a 13-year restaurant business in 2019, taught myself to code, and have been chasing every "what if" since. Real hours, real dollars, updated daily.
I've been self-employed for 20 years. My goal is to keep it that way for the next 20.
